Buy a Permanent Outer Horse Fence Kit
The Basic Kits start at 640 feet and extend out to any desired length. First choose the conductor desired (quarter-inch polyrope or 1.5-inch polytape). Then match our kits to your planned length by getting a 640-foot "starter" kit plus an appropriate number of 320-foot or 640-foot "add-on" kits.
These fences are equipped to deal with dry or frozen ground. Two of their ropes or tapes can be grounded by means of a double-throw switch. When the switch is in the correct position, a target animal will get shocked by touching a grounded and charged conductor at the same time, regardless of whether the ground is parched as the Sahara or cold as the Arctic.
AC, battery, and solar-powered chargers are all suitable for these fences, so the chargers are sold separately to allow you to select the type desired. Also, the basic kits include only four corners, one gate, and one ground rod. If you need more of these supplies, purchase one or more basic kits with the desired length and conductor from the first table; and then get the appropriate charger,
corner(s), gate(s), and ground rod(s) from the tables that follow.

Charger Package: If you are purchasing an AC-powered charger, the charger is apt to be some distance away from the fence (at your nearest AC outlet). Product 02-28 below can span up to 50 feet between the charger and the fence (do not use ordinary outdoor power cord to do this because it won't work). If the charger is to be battery or solar powered, it can probably go right next to the fence, so all you need is a charger to polyrope connector (product 02-88A) or a charger to rope connector (product 02-87A).
Ground Rod Package: One ground rod and clamp come with the kits above, but for every 1312 feet of fence you should add another set. These additional ground rods, strung out along the fence line, should be attached to the lowest grounded run of polyrope or polytape with a short length of wire (it need not be insulated). If your fence uses polytape, it can be connected to the hookup wire with product 05-05 in the table above. This bottom run should be permanently grounded and separated electrically from all of the charged runs.
Corner and Gate Packages: If you need material for additional corners or sharp turns, kits 13-60C and 13-63C below will provide what you need to navigate two additional corners or sharp turns with your permanent polyrope or polytape fence. Likewise, if you need another gate, kit 13-64G will provide it for the polyrope fence and kit 13-65G will do so for a polytape fence.
