Step-in Posts
All the step-in posts listed except 09-103 and 09-104 come with multiple holders for wire, polywire, polyrope, half-inch polytape, and 1.5-inch polytape, and so they need no insulators. After insertion into the ground, 09-99, 09-100, and 09-104 are 50 inches tall; 09-14 and 09-14A are 54 inches tall; and 09-106 is 60 inches tall.
Two posts (09-99 and 09-106) feature stirrup-style step-ins that make them especially user-friendly. In addition, post 09-106 has a wide array of holders that accept all conductors including polytape up to 2.5 inches wide and polyrope/polybraid 3/8 inches thick. As step-in posts go it is quite robust, and it is the only post listed below that is able to create a 5-foot fence.
Step-in posts are well-known for tilting when subjected to sideways stress. To counter that, use tent pegs (product 09-105) placed opposite to the direction of stress (we recommend using two tent pegs at each corner).
