Universal and Multi-purpose Insulators
These line insulators (not good for going around corners) can attach to many things. Product 07-104 is an Elfin-style insulator for polywire and metal wire on a traditional 5-inch Essex extender. The extender’s legs, which can be widened or narrowed to grasp a wide variety of posts or chain link fence, are secured at the back with a cotter pin included in the package. 07-104A is a 3.5-inch extender insulator for metal wire, polywire, and polyrope/polybraid up to 3/8 inches in diameter. Best-suited to round posts up to 2 inches in diameter, this versatile insulator can be fastened to almost anything—including T-posts, U-posts, the tubing on farm gates, and chain link fences. Insulators 07-105B, 07-105W, 07-106B, and 07-106W can be attached to almost anything. They have holes for securing them with nails or screws to wood/vinyl posts, as well as clips for grasping the front side of 1.25 and 1.33 pound steel T-posts. They also have a mounting hole at the back that permits them to be wired to almost anything. These latter insulators come with a 10-year unconditional warranty against UV damage or manufacturing defects. They are suitable for use on high-tensile fences and will accept metal wire, polywire, and polyrope/polybraid up to 3/8 inches in diameter. Extender insulator 07-107 attaches to chain link fence as well as to round and square posts up to more than an inch in diameter. A long extender insulator, it will carry metal wire or polywire up to 6 inches out from the fence.
