Dare Enforcer 600 (DE-600) Low Impedance Electric Fence Charger, UL Listed, 1.5 Joules
An ideal electric fence charger for most horse fences enclosing small to large pastures, the 1.5 joule DE-600 provides a good average jolt—not too much for well-behaved horses but enough to contain most spirited types. Voltage data: The DE-600 can maintain the necessary horse and pig minimum of 2000 volts on the line even when nature imposes a major weed burden providing a super-easy 60-ohm path to the ground. This electric fence charger will also keep 4000 volts on the line (the recommended sheep and goat minimum) so long as the weed burden is moderate and does not offer anything better than a 200-ohm path to the ground. Joule range: The DE-600 generates a pulse of at least 1.3 joules on a 500-ohm circuit and a pulse of at least 1.5 joules on a 100-ohm circuit (for more about joules see Charger Safety, Horse Fences, and Joules). Other animals: Useful for containing pigs, sheep, and goats. Good for excluding deer and also for repelling wild pigs (javelinas), feral pigs, wolves, mountain lions, and other predators.
